The Midyear Meeting primarily provides an opportunity for the committees responsible for developing the WEFTEC technical program to meet and determine the workshop and technical session schedule, as well as other programming, for WEFTEC. Additionally, several committees meet at Midyear to discuss non-WEFTEC-related projects and programs.

Reservations should be made directly with the Rosen Plaza* by telephone to ensure you receive the WEF group rate. Be sure to reference the WEF 2009 Midyear Meeting when making your reservation. The special room rate is available on a first-come, first-served basis until January 5, 2009, or until the room block sells out, whichever occurs first. Neither WEF nor the Hotel can guarantee availability or the special group rate for rooms after the January 5th deadline.
* There are two (2) Rosen Hotel properties located on International Drive – the Rosen Plaza and the Rosen Centre. All Midyear Meeting related activities will take place at the Rosen PLAZA Hotel. Please be specific when making ground transportation arrangements with taxi or airport shuttle service providers.

There are no registration fees associated with the Midyear Meeting.
A confirmation will be faxed or e-mailed to you within a week after receipt of your registration form.
General Travel & Transportation Information
The Rosen Plaza Hotel is located approximately 12 miles from the Orlando International Airport (MCO).
Taxis run on meters; there are no flat rates. You can anticipate paying between $33 – $39 for one-way fare between the airport and the hotel. Taxis are available on both the A and B sides of the Main Terminal at Orlando International Airport on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1) in Commercial Lane spaces A5 – A8; A28 – A31; B5 – B8; and B19 – B24.
Mears Transportation Group operates airport/hotel shuttle service from Orlando International Airport. Fares are approximately $18 one-way and $29 round-trip. Reservations can be made 24-hours a day either by telephone: (407) 423-5566 or online. Reservations are not required for airport to hotel service; however, advance reservations are required for hotel to airport service. The Mears Transportation Service counter is located on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1) of the Main Terminal at the airport.
