Utility Management

The Utility Management Committee is involved in helping develop materials and programs that will assist utility managers. Over the past year, the committee has worked on several initiatives focused on utility quality improvement programs. This includes the QualServe program (self-assessment and peer reviews that help utilities achieve total quality performance) and the development of a Benchmarking Clearinghouse.

Other activities of the committee include:

  • Sponsoring a bimonthly Utility Executive Newsletter.
  • The committee is also active in developing programs at WEFTEC® including a well-attended series of preconference workshops and a Management Symposium focused on utility management issues.
  • Providing drafts of Federation Position Statements and comments on U.S. government regulations and policies to the WEF Government Affairs Committee.
  • Cosponsoring the AWWA/WEF Joint Management Conference
