The Summit offered two days of learning opportunities for Member Association and WEF leaders. The program focused on our public mission and the WEF programs and services available to achieve that mission.
PROGRAM "Our Public Mission" WEF Executive Director, Bill Bertera is passionate about our public mission. He will energize each of us toward fulfilling the responsibilities to our public. Take the opportunity to let Bill know how the WEF public mission message resonates with you and your MA.
"Educating and Influencing Those Who Decide" Join in a discussion on "why" we need to educate, "who" are the right groups to educate, and "how" to effectively deliver our messages. Leave with an inventory of tools that focus on the right reasons and the right targets to maximize success.
"What DOES WEF Do for Your MA?" WEF has many programs and services available to your MA to use and participate in. Learn how to access these programs and use them to benefit your MA.
"WEF Programs and Services" Roundtable Discussion Evaluations from Leadership events and WEFMAX meetings tell us that MA Leaders would like to have more discussions of specific WEF programs. We have scheduled three on Public Education, Advocacy, and Partnering on Specialty Conferences. Meet the WEF Staff managing these programs and learn how the programs can benefit your MA.
"wefeco" - for the future Meet WEF Staff who are leading the wefeco Green Program for the WEF headquarters building. Learn what we are doing to minimize WEF's impact on the enviroment and how you can use some of these tools as you do business for your MA.
"Legal Responsibilities of 501(c)(3) Boards" Learn the basic responsibilities of a 501(c)(3) organization, including responsibilities of Boards, responsibility to the Internal Revenue Service, and protections provided by the U.S. Volunteer Protection Act.
